1. Agreement
By downloading, accessing or using FYP Roulette, you agree to these Terms of Use ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. Apple's Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement also applies to an iOS download except where these Terms provide valid additional terms; Apple is not responsible for operating or supporting FYP Roulette.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13, meet the minimum age required for TikTok and the App Store in your country, and be legally able to agree to these Terms. If local law requires parental consent, you may use the service only with that consent.
3. The service
FYP Roulette is an invite-only social game. Players connect TikTok, import liked-video information, create or join a room with a code, and guess which participant liked each selected video. Features, limits and availability may change as the service develops.
FYP Roulette is independent of TikTok and is not sponsored, endorsed by, administered by, or affiliated with TikTok. Your use of TikTok remains subject to TikTok's own terms and policies.
4. Your responsibilities
You agree that you will:
- Use only your own account and provide accurate information.
- Invite only people with whom you are comfortable sharing the content selected for a room.
- Respect copyright, privacy, publicity and other rights.
- Keep room codes and device access appropriately secure.
- Follow applicable law and the rules of Apple and TikTok.
You must not misuse the service, harass others, attempt unauthorised access, scrape or reverse engineer the service except where law expressly permits it, interfere with security or operation, evade usage limits, introduce malicious code, or use the service for unlawful or commercial exploitation.
5. Content and permissions
You retain any rights you have in profile information and content you provide. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, process, transmit and display that material only as needed to operate, secure and improve FYP Roulette. This licence ends when the material is deleted from our systems, subject to temporary technical copies and legal requirements.
TikTok videos and related material belong to their respective owners. FYP Roulette does not grant you ownership or permission to copy, redistribute or exploit that content. If you believe material made available through the service infringes your rights, email [email protected] with enough detail for us to investigate.
6. FYP+ subscriptions
FYP+ unlocks the benefits shown on the purchase screen, which may include higher import and gameplay limits. The purchase screen shows the current duration and full renewal price before you confirm payment.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase.
- The subscription renews automatically for the same duration and price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
- Apple charges renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel in your Apple ID subscription settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- Use Restore Purchases in the app to restore an eligible purchase.
Apple handles billing, cancellation and refunds under its rules and applicable law. Prices and taxes may vary by country. We may change subscription benefits prospectively, but will not remove access you have already paid for during the active billing period except where necessary for safety, law or platform compliance.
7. Availability and changes
The service depends on networks and third parties, including TikTok, Apple, RevenueCat and infrastructure providers. Imports, playback, rooms or purchases may be interrupted or unavailable. We may update, suspend or discontinue all or part of the service, introduce or alter reasonable limits, or make changes needed for security, law or third-party requirements. We will provide notice where required by law.
8. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the service at any time. You can remove local profile data using Sign out & clear local data. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially or repeatedly breach these Terms, create risk or legal exposure, or misuse the service. Where appropriate, we will give notice and a reasonable opportunity to appeal by contacting support.
9. Disclaimers
FYP Roulette is provided with reasonable care and skill. Subject to rights that cannot legally be excluded, the service is otherwise provided "as is" and "as available". We do not promise uninterrupted availability, that every TikTok account or video can be imported or played, or that results will always be error-free. Social guesses and third-party content are for entertainment and do not represent our views.
10. Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your mandatory consumer rights. Subject to that, we are not liable for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when you agreed to these Terms, for business losses, or for loss caused by events outside our reasonable control. If you use the service as a consumer, these Terms do not affect your statutory rights.
11. Apple-specific terms
For an app obtained through Apple's App Store: these Terms are between you and FYP Roulette, not Apple; Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support; Apple may refund the purchase price where required for a failure to conform to an applicable warranty, but otherwise has no warranty obligation; FYP Roulette, not Apple, is responsible for claims relating to the app; and Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce the Apple-specific terms against you. You represent that you are not in a country subject to a US Government embargo and are not on a US Government prohibited or restricted-party list.
12. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you also benefit from mandatory protections of the country where you live and may bring proceedings in the courts available under those laws. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve a concern informally.
13. General
If part of these Terms is unenforceable, the remainder continues in effect. Our delay in enforcing a term is not a waiver. You may not transfer these Terms without our consent; we may transfer them as part of a reorganisation or sale provided your rights are not reduced. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the agreement between you and us about the service.
